The Process
After reading the required sections, you believe you are a good fit based on the model submission requirement and agree with the terms of service,.... go ahead and submit your photos and information. ***Please do not submit any more than required***.
After you click "Submit", you will see a "Submission Successful" page letting you know that your submission was/is successful. This page will also contain IMP's Forum Registration link.
You will also receive IMP's forum invitation/ registration email in your inbox. Make sure you submit your correct email address (don't forget to check your junk mail folder).
You will be contacted by us via email ONLY IF you are chosen. This email will contain more instructions on how to proceed with your travel arrangements & new career. So make sure the email you use while submitting your information is an email that works. Check your email within 2 - 4 weeks after submission (Don't forget to check your spam/junk mail also).
If for some reason, we do not hear from you within 1 month of acceptance, we will contact you via phone. You must make sure your submitted phone number works. If we can't reach you after 1 month, we will assume you are no longer interested at which point, we will stop trying to contact you. If you change your mind, you can resubmit after 3 months.
As long as you respond to the acceptance email, we will be in contact with you, for contract signing, work visa and flight arrangements.
Please note that though IMP & the agency (attorneys) will do all the preparations to get you your work visa, it is your SOLE RESPONSIBILITY to pay all fees associated with getting your work visa, your ticket and USA accommodation.
It is recommend but not required that you have family living in the USA. Since you may be signing a 1 - 4 year contract (depending on the agency), having family in the USA will help you integrate better. Again, this is not a rule but it may be beneficial.
You will be ready to travel and start your new career as quickly as your visa is ready (of course, you'll also need to have your ticket).
When will your visa be ready? The timing for the visa is hard to predict as this timing depends solely on how long it will take the US embassy/consulate in your State/Country to grant you the work visa. Rest assured, the attorneys handling the work visa application, have several years of experience with work visas. You will be fully involved in this process.
You will be received at your destination airport by the modeling agency. All new faces are well taken care of. The agency will: arrange airport transfers, set up in-model apartment (if necessary), image development (hair, styling, wellness), guidance on navigating subways for castings (if needed) e.t.c. You will be in good hands.
